Main Partner 2016

TAIThailand Achievement Institute (TAI) was established in August 2013 with an aim of promoting peaceful co-existence of different walks of life regardless of ethnicity, faith, color, or culture; and mutual understanding, acceptance, and appreciation of one another’s beings, point of views and perspectives. We believe that out of several setbacks humanity encounters, the culprit is undoubtedly “ignorance, poverty, and disunity”. Therefore, it is our first and foremost tenet and duty to realize any legitimate means by which the eradication of ignorance, poverty and disunity through education, welfare, and unity respectively can be fulfilled. For us to achieve a world where individuals not only peacefully co-exist, but also extend a warm and loving heart to those who cannot cherish the appreciation of the rights of others to life, freedom of speech, and peaceful co-existence is paramount.

Turquoise Harmony Institute - Johannesburg / South Africa

Turquoise Harmony Institute - Johannesburg / South Africa

Turquoise Harmony Institute was originally established in 2006 as Interfaith Foundation of South Africa (IFSA) in order to foster relations among different faith and cultural traditions to contribute to the well being of humanity. We encourage and facilitate exchange of views and experiences between different parts of the society and engage in activities that are aimed at stimulating critical thinking and analysis of affairs affecting the lives all people. We engaged in many activities such as conferences, seminars, iftaar dinners, intercultural trips, dialogue awards, etc. The aim of these activities is to promote dialogue, tolerance and understanding among people of South Africa and the world by contributing to the universal values such as love, tolerance, democracy, human rights and justice. In the past, these activities mainly focused on interfaith dialogue and with the new structure (THI) we hope to engage in activities of wider spectra so that greater contribution may be made to spread dialogue and understanding in all communities. With growing distance among people ,understanding people is slipping away and labeling is becoming a norm. There is a great tendency in superficial appearances and shallow understanding that comes with lack of knowledge of the ‘other’. It is of great importance that everybody should be allowed to exist as themselves and be accepted as he/she is. The unity in diversity will give us the power to overcome the challenges of our time.

The Pacific Dialogue Foundation, Inc. (PDF) is a non-stock, non-profit, educational, and cultural foundation established by a group of Filipino and Turkish volunteers in 2011 seeking to build and foster relationships between and among people of diverse backgrounds. The foundation upholds the primacy of universal values such as tolerance, understanding, compassion, mutual respect, and fairness.

Additionally, we regularly organize cultural and educational trips from Philippines to Turkiye and vice versa. In our trips we visit not just the historical and touristic places but also NGO’s, universities and Turkish families host us in their houses to demonstrate Turkish hospitality.

We invite university presidents, academicians and notable officials to strengthen educational and cultural relations between two countries. We help universities of Turkey and Philippines to tie up for exchange student or mutual research programs. The Exchange Student and Mutual Research agreement between Fatih University and University of Philippines as well as University of Santo Tomas are just some examples.

Furthermore, we also conduct seminars and panel discussions which are relevant to society and relationship with our fellowmen.

Lastly we would like to emphasize, while we are trying to contribute something to Filipino society or to the World Peace we don’t have any secret agenda or bad intention and also while we are having these interfaith dialogue activities, our only intention is to get to know different societies better to accept and respect them as they are, as well as we are hoping to be understood better and accepted and respected as we are.
